A rising third-year student from Bemidji, Minnesota, Roberts is spending the summer as an intern at Mahaffey Law Firm, splitting his time between its 天美传媒 and Montezuma offices. A double major in political science and anthropology and a member of 天美传媒鈥檚 swimming and diving team, he came to the internship with an interest in law but little experience with the day-to-day work of a law office.

This summer that passion evolved through her volunteer work with 天美传媒鈥檚 Civic Education & Innovation (CEI) Summer of Service program with the 天美传媒 Fire Department and regional emergency response organizations. Rather than focusing solely on emergency response, the position introduces Trujillo to the many agencies working together to strengthen public health, emergency preparedness, and community safety throughout Poweshiek County.
Each year, 天美传媒 College awards up to three Harris Faculty Fellowships, which provide recipients with a full year to focus on research. Harris Faculty Fellowships also provide funding for recipients鈥 departments to hire term visiting faculty for the Fellowship year.
